What your organisation does
Recon Holywood Community Group hold a number of educational programmes ranging from essential skills such as English and Maths to workshops highlighting issues of antisocial behaviour amongst young people and how to best combat this problem. We also have training programmes such as Information Technology classes. We host weekly youth clubs within
our premises for the young people of Holywood to use as a drop-in facility, here they can socialise with their friends or come to meet new people and create new relationships. Our Holywood premises will also be available for young people to use on a daily basis, also as a drop-in facility and for activities such as after schools club where people can come to study for various school subjects or exams they may be facing. This also provides young people with a place they can come and create study groups to give themselves and their friends any necessary additional support within school. We also have a midnight football programme for the young people of Holywood that is also conducted on a weekly basis where young people can socialise whilst improving their health, fitness and well-being through sporting activities.
