Public benefits
The direct benefit is improved health outcomes and relief of poverty leading to less stress and better outcomes for the beneficiaries This would be achieved through a) financial aid through sponsorship of children which will provide relief from hunger, help with medical expenses and help with education. b) financial aid to certain
organisations/schools/orphanages (eg to buy a new generator to provide power for a community centre, to help with the running costs in an orphanage/school.) c) provision of clothing, food, toys and other materials (or donations) as deemed necessary d) missionary trips with local young people (to India etc) to help rebuild or decorate (an added benefit to this is the 'opening' of our young people's eyes to poverty that exists through firsthand experience) e) in the future we hope to help with lack of nutrition through the provision of vitamins and nutritional education. This can be evidenced through a) letters from the sponsored children, and receipt of payment to the international organisation to which we are connected. b) Letters/receipts from the organisations which receive the donations and photos of the result of the donations where possible. c) Photos of the provisions on location (Children with their new toys, clothing etc) d) Photos/receipts from the missionary trips, along with diary/blog entries (where possible) from the participants. e) feedback from those on the vitamins etc regarding their general health and knowledge on nutrition. In providing vitamins there is a very small risk or side affects however these are very rare and the benefit will outweigh the harm. The charities benefits are provided for children's organisations, orphanages and schools in the Third World (mainly Romania, India and Haiti). The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is the travel opportunities, life skills and experiences received by the members and trustees. These will be transferrable into other settings but are incidental and necessary in order to provide the benefit to the beneficiaries.
What your organisation does
We sponsor over 12 children in Haiti on a monthly basis. We run camps in Romania for children from Placement Centers, those are centers which house and work with children whose parents can't afford to, or don't want to, look after them We also are looking at carrying out some work in India in 2014.
