Public benefits

The benefit of having an active PTA enables us to fundraise, provide a number of events and activities for pupils at the school and their families, fund additional resources for the school and build links with the local community. The benefit also supports the educational progress and attainment of pupils in the school through the provision of

resources, events and activities and by building links with the local community. These benfits are achieved by the PTA working in partnership with the school and engaging parental support. The benefits are demonstrated by the pupils having access to resources, events, activites and links with the local community which are not available through direct school funding. There is no harm or possibility of harm outweighing the benefit. The benefit is for the pupils of St. Colmcille's Primary School. The Charity trustees are usually parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit is incidential and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries.
