The community will become more secure, stable and sustainable through the provision of direct services based on identified need and provided in a safe, accessible environment. The work of the Association ensures that Glencolin residents are represented on all forums and agencies, bringing direct benefit to the community. These benefits are capable of being demonstrated by monitoring the number of people using our office and accessing our range of services, by monitoring the number of people accessing our housing, welfare advice and family support services provided, by the number of people attending planning and information days and becoming involved in the volunteering aspect of the project, by monitoring the number of people accessing our training and development programmes, by the production of monitoring and evaluation reports provided to funders on target outcomes and inputs and by general feedback from the local community. Regular progress reports are also circulated to the community using flyers, leaflets and information days. The beneficiaries of the Association include local residents of Glencolin and surrounding area, Northern Ireland Housing Executive tenants, residents seeking assistance and information on a range of issues, volunteers and families and children accessing seasonal activities.
