Poverty: the direct benefits which flow from this includes that people get the benefit monies they are entitled to leading to better quality of life. Sickness: the direct benefits which flow from this includes that residents are helped to keep hospital and doctor appointments through the provision of transport. Aged: the direct benefits which flow
from this includes residents benefit at Christmas through the provision of meat vouchers leading to better nutrition and diet. Advance education: the direct benefits which flow from this includes raised awareness in mental health, suicide and other health issues through the provision of training courses. Provide facilities in the interests of social welfare: the direct benefits which flow from this includes being away from their normal routine, meeting new friends from the other groups and visiting places of interest, which widens their horizons and provides new experiences. Improved health and reduced levels of stress and anxiety and the wellbeing of our residents. This is demonstrated through feedback from our beneficiaries especially their expression of gratitude to us for what we have done for them. There is no harm issues to any of these items. The beneficiaries who gain from all these purposes are the section of the public who live in our geographical area. A private benefit to our trustees is the training we take on and through this training we gain skills and experience which we can use for the benefit of our residents and to enhance our services.
What your organisation does
Our association works for community is repect of helping with housing issues, welfare issues and social issuses. We also provide recreational actitives is is funded by our weekly bonus ball draw and donations.

Charitable purposes
The Association is established to: 2.1 relieve poverty, sickness and the aged and to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the district and surrounding area of Cookstown and its environs (hereinafter described as “the area of benefit”) without distinction of age, gender, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
