1st Aghadowey Scout Group is a youth organisation, open to all young people aged between 4 and 25 of every faith and background. Our group is based in Aghadowey and offers opportunities to local children in Aghadowey, Ballymoney, Castleroe, Garvagh & Macosquin. The purpose of scouting is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving
their full physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.Scouting develops skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world. There’s something for every young person. There is no harm or private benefit from the purpose.
