Public benefits

Purpose 1; To advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music, by any means as the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose will be an increased understanding, knowledge and appreciation

amongst the public of music. There is no harm arising out of this purpose; it is entirely beneficial. These benefits can be demonstrated through the attendances at concerts and feedback from members of the audience. The beneficiaries will be the public at large and no private benefit accrues to any member of the society or unintended beneficiary. Purpose 2; To further such other charitable purpose or purposes as the trustees in their absolute discretion shall think fit but in particular through the making of grants and donations. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose will be that the Chorale’s efforts help to increase the abilities of, and give support to, other charitable institutions. Mainly this support increases the abilities of medical therapy organisations in Northern Ireland and religious missionary endeavours worldwide to carry out their charitable works. The wider outworking is of general well-being amongst disadvantaged members of society at home and abroad. These benefits can be demonstrated through our records of grants made any demonstrable benefits provided by our recipient beneficiaries.
