Public benefits

(a)The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include active participation in recreational activities, resulting in improved health, social interaction and educational development for our members. These benefits are evidenced by membership levels and regularly conducted family/carer surveys. In providing these services there is a risk of

recreational related injuries, however this risk is minimised by having all activities supervised by professional coaches and supporting volunteers. The beneficiaries of this purpose are children and young adults with Special Needs, living in the counties of Armagh and Down, Northern Ireland. A private benefit flowing from this purpose is that gained by a trustee who also has children/young adults with Special Needs, as they can also avail of the service. The trustee's children/young adults would have equal status to that of all other members. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries. (b)The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include supporting the emotional needs of families and carers of children and young adults with Special Needs. By providing an outlet for families/carers to meet and share experiences and knowledge, on children and young adults, with similar difficulties. These benefits are evidenced by feedback from the participation of families/carers in regular evaluations and surveys. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries of this purpose are families/carers of children and young adults with Special Needs, living in the counties of Armagh and Down, Northern Ireland. A private benefit flowing from this purpose is that gained by a trustee who also has children/young adults with Special Needs, as they can also avail of the sevice; in doing so providing access to knowledge and experience for the trustee. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
