St Canice’s Ladies GFC was set up to advance amateur sport for girls and ladies – to administer, promote, foster and develop Ladies Gaelic Football and to provide coaching and equipment. Ladies Gaelic Football is a sport that promotes health by involving physical and mental skills. Our Beneficiaries are the girls and ladies who participate – the

health benefits of being active, the educational benefits to the younger girls and the social benefits of meeting and making new friends. St Canice’s Ladies GFC also promotes and encourages all members to use the Irish Language, to gain more knowledge of their cultural heritage and to respect all cultures. Our Beneficiaries are the girls and ladies who participate - the educational benefits and the social benefits of meeting and making new friends from the local English or Irish Medium schools. There is not any private benefit or harm from the purposes of the organisation.

What your organisation does

We provide Gaelic football coaching for girls aged 5 to 12, focusing on improving their key skills. We train girls over 14 to adult to play competition football in an all county league.

Charitable purposes

The aim of the Association shall be to foster, promote, develop and control Ladies Gaelic Football. • The Association shall promote Ladies Gaelic Football as a tool for leading an active and healthy lifestyle. • The Association shall endeavour to support the advancement of the Irish language and other aspects of Irish culture. • The Association shall assist in promoting development through its clubs at local, community and international level.
