Public benefits

The first purpose is to:- provide / manage social housing, affordable housing through shared ownership and also associated assistance, facilities, amenities and services, in order to help provide housing to people within the community in Northern Ireland and prevent or relieve those in poverty or in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health,

disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include access to housing and accommodation for those members of the public who are living in poverty or in need of such assistance due to youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. It is also likely that reduced levels of stress, anxiety and poverty will result from such access to required housing and accommodation. No harm or possibility of harm is envisaged. The charity intends to benefit people living in Northern Ireland who are experiencing poverty or are in need due to their youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship and who require access to housing and accommodation. The charity does not consider that there is a private benefit. The second purpose is to:- carry on any other charitable object permitted under Northern Ireland charity law which may be carried out by a housing association registered as an Industrial and Provident Society. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose may include access to housing and accommodation and, in general, fulfillment of charitable objects only as permitted under Northern Ireland charity law. We would intend to demonstrate any benefits based on information available at that time and ensure compliance with NI charity law. No harm or possibility of harm is envisaged. The charity intends to benefit those members of the community who may be permitted to benefit from a charitable object permitted under Northern Ireland charity law. The charity does not envisage that there would be a private benefit.
