Public benefits
The direct benefit which flows from our purpose is the betterment of the lives of older people living within Desertcreat and Ardtrea Townlands for recreation or other leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from our beneficiaries,
promoting services within the community for example farm health checks evenings and educational and recreational activities. There is no harm. The beneficiaries are older people living within Desertcreat and Ardtrea townlands and surrounding and extended areas. There is no private benefit.

Charitable purposes
The Association is established to promote not exclusively, but particularly the betterment of the lives of older people living within Desertcreat and Ardtrea Townlands and surrounding hinterlands, without distinction of age gender, sexuality, nationality, ethnic identity, disability, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
