The direct benefits which flow from the purpose of Drumquin Womens Group are the improvement of the lives of women in the Drumquin area through increased knowledge and education in health and well being and increased confidence through support and guidance. These benefits are evidenced through the weekly meetings, courses and vast range of

programmes made available to the members and the evaluation of these activities to ensure they are meeting the objects of the group and the needs of the members.

What your organisation does

Drumquin Women's Group has provided a range of activities in the area including computer training, craft work, aromatherapy, flower arranging, gardening, knitting, sewing and crochet. The group has also arranged talks on various subjects e.g genealogy and health issues participating in the Community Pharmacy programme. A number of events have also

been delivered including a craft fare, a wedding fare, and the production of a cookery book.

Charitable purposes

The group shall be responsible for advancing the aims of the Drumquin Women's Group and other groups in Northern Ireland with similar charitable aims. The aim of the group is to relieve poverty, to advance education and to preserve and safeguard health and to provide in the Drumquin area facilities in the interest of social welfare for the education, recreation and leisure time occupation of women who by reason of social or economic circumstances have need of such facilities.
