Public benefits

The beneficiaries of Ballymoney Model Primary School Parent Teacher Association are the pupils who attend the school. By holding events within school to which all parents/ caregivers are invited we engender to achieve an enhanced sense of integration within the school community and to encourage parents to become more involved in the education of

the children. The children will benefit from the charity because the PTA will provide extra resources within the school which will increase the knowledge and learning of the pupils. For example we have provided laptop computers so that the children will get experience on and a good understanding of computers whilst undertaking work in maths, English etc. The PTA have provided the school with an extensive library and an Accelerated Reading program which has encouraged the children to read and therefore further enhancing their knowledge and skills. By holding regular meetings and discussions with parents and staff to keep updated with the needs and wishes of the members we aim to provide new opportunities for learning that are not always available through the Education board, such as learning a foreign language or craft skills. The children will benefit from the extra activities which the PTA runs by bringing the whole school together for events thus increasing the children’s sense of integration. No person connected with the charity will gain any private benefit from the charity and there is no likelihood of any harm being done by the charity.
