What is the organisational structure of your charity?

The Commission cannot make a scheme for your organisation as you have the power through the Companies Act 2006 and Section 96 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 to make any changes to your governing document.

Section A 

What is the nature of the changes you wish to make? Administrative changes - For example make changes to the minimum/maximum number of charity trustees, change the quorum for meetings, change frequency of meetings or changes to procedures Any other changes - : Examples include: Amendment of purposes, inclusion or amendment of dissolution clause, insofar as they relate to the application of property on dissolution or amendments to allow charity trustees to receive remuneration.
Can the charity trustees use the power contained in (a) Section 127 of The Charities Act (NI) 2008 to change the existing Government Document or (b) To introduce new administrative powers which, while not referred to in the governing document are given to all unincorporated associations by law?

You can use the powers contained within section 127 of the Act to pass a resolution to make the necessary changes. Once the changes have been made please forward a copy of your amended governing document by accessing the relevant form contained in Section K.

Can you answer “yes” to all of the following statements: (i) the gross income of the charity in its last financial year did not exceed £10,000 (ii) the charity does not hold designated land or if it does hold designated land, the market value of that land does not exceed £90,000. (iii) the charity is not a company or other corporate body.
