Public benefits
The benefit of Carr Pre-School is to improve the educational, well being and health of the children within the Drumbo/Carr area below statutory school age. Research has shown that, pre-school experience enhances children's development, disadvantaged children in particular benefit significantly from good quality pre-school experiences. Overall
family outcomes can also be improved and it also allows us time to promote early intervention if required to allow all children's individual needs to be met. These benefits are evidenced through Education Authority and South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust Social Services inspection reports. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. The beneficiaries of Carr Pre-School are the children of the local area under statutory school age and their families. There is no private benefit neither necessary or incidental flowing from any of the purposes of Carr Pre-School.

Carr Pre School will help to promote a play based learning experience for all children in the local area under statutory school age. The pre-school curriculum is planned to ensure that children learn and develop within 6 key areas (arts, language, early mathematical experience, personal & social development, physical develop & movement and the
world around us). We also seek to educate parents on young children's development in order to improve their home learning experiences as their parents are the primary educator during the formative years. Observations and assessments of each child's development takes place regularly and the relevant planning will ensure the provision of the above is sufficient to further advance learning opportunities. Through continuous evaluation and monitoring the staff team will ensure that planning is in place for educational provision for each individual child, this process includes regular staff and management committee meeting, ongoing training, support from our primary school colleagues and our Independent Early Years Co-Ordinator. Feedback from parents and inspections is also vital to our overall educational provision provided. It is our aim that through this all children in our setting will reach their full potential.
